Bad times for RPA when a message board poster on his fansite is a bigger draw than he is

Aw, y'all are too kind. For what it's worth when I've been drinking I'm probably more likely to revise my rating of the Hold On remixes upwards.

Anybody coming to the NYC show gets 2 for the price of 1! The Captain and yours truly. Happy to meet up if anyone shows.

As for the audience, there are a lot of ex-pats and aging hipsters (ahem) in the tri-state area and These People has definitely been a critical and commercial comeback for RPA relative to UNOS if not Forth. Between nostalgia, that it's been a long time, and that he's touring as himself rather than the sketchy experimental hip-hop side project he'll have more pull than he did the last time, when he filled the Bowery Ballroom with 600 or so hardcore fans. Still think selling out Terminal 5 is quite a reach but some Spotifying JCLs will doubtlessly filter in from Brooklyn and Astoria.

It's one of the great things of spending years on a forum is that when the time comes meeting people from the board doesn't disappoint. I've been lucky with a Verve show in Glasgow, and the Black Subs gig in London a few years back. Both great nights!

I still have a month to decide on attending NYC. I was thinking, it may be worth it to go, get there early and get up front, and scream "Already There" at the top of my lungs for 2 hours. I bet he'd appreciate that.

Be a total ****, like me, and ask "how lucky does Jase feel?" right after he dedicates Luck Man to Kate and listen to everyone audibly gasp.

At the Bowery Ballroom show in 2011 I enlisted Waggly to shout along for Life Can Be So Beautiful and he added in some shouts for Third Eye. I think RPA was amused and pleased for requests of recent stuff, and he sang a bit of both. So perhaps calling out for Picture of You or Ain't The Future So Bright or Royal Highness might be acknowledged, probably not anything with the band. Maybe I'll strategically shout for Rather Be, though that seems pretty unlikely too.

I'm not sure how recognizable the reference would be to most after all these years, as much tabloid coverage as there was at the time.

I wonder when the taping is, considering that he's playing Chicago that night. Customarily they're done mid afternoon but maybe he's doing it early, or else he'd better hope there are no plane delays.

I predict he'll play Hold On or BSS...

Don't talk show hosts usually tape 2 shows on Thursday, so they can take Friday off? At least Letterman did that

I'm guessing it'll be taped on Monday or Tuesday since his NYC gig is Monday night.

Wasn't kidding, thought I'd read on here you were coming over for the gigs.
if you decide to, tickets are 55% off for Boston via Groupon.

We hear you have been working on an exciting project. Care to tell us more about it?

Well I’ve always been a drummer and am playing with Richard Ashcroft from The Verve and we will be at The Wiltern on the 3rd April so come on down. Also look out for us on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on the 28th March!

Richard's gonna fire that guy for referencing him as that and not as the great singer songwriter
