First play of Plastic Machinery (featuring Johnny Marr & Sobbo). Forward to the 1:47 minute mark.
Great tune, sounding very fresh.

Great that Pete is making some money and doesn't have to listen to Ashcroft songs every night.

But that song is the definition of boring and mediocre. If I never hear it again I won't mind at all. Charlatans had some decent tunes 20 years ago, now it's more late middle aged garbage. Too bad they can't find another occupation, this just further stains their modest catalog.

There really needs to be an age limit put on all these over the hill *****.

Album is pretty great. I'm really enjoying it loads.
Pete features on 6 tracks. The Weller track closes the album, it's a stunner.

Fucking hilarious that the usual suspects who repeatedly attack Ashcroft on both a personal and musical level actually rate the likes of the Charlatans and Liam Gallagher. Ha! Says it all.

Tim Burgess is just turd. Looks like a twat, speaks like a twat and sings like a twat. Never written a good song in his life, but at least he's made himself into some kind of Twitter celeb on the back of fuck knows what. Started off as an embarrasing Ian Brown copycat and and the Charlatans were a lower league Britpop band on a par with the likes of Ocean Colour Scene and Catatonia. Literally no one could name or recognise a song by them apart from North Country Boy, which is utter gash and only people around at the time have heard that.

Take home message being "don't get personal about RA", but this is OK......

Not brought up RA here, didn't realize we had to compare every artist we like with Richard.
But, since you've brought it up, The Charlatans are miles above anything Richard has released solo. Whether Tim's a twat or not, don't know, don't care. His hair looks ridiculous, but he's part of some excellent tunes.
As for Liam, I've heard one song that's pretty good. I'll reserve judgment until I hear his album.
Richard ... yeah, no need to go down that road here, too, is there?

So, wow, just wow! I'm not sure where to start here but here goes.....

Ok, so 'no-one could name or recognise a song by them'.....a band who has 27 years of sold out shows across the world. 27 fucking years, so someone likes them.

'Looks, speaks and sings like a twat'......if you are a 12 year girl, i'll let this comment pass. If not, grow the fuck up.

He's established a Twitter reputation as he has a fanbase and services the fanbase by interacting with them. It's called playing the game. I'll compare that with what Richard Ashcroft does with the thousands of followers he has on Twitter/instagram....nothing. Ignores them. Rarely posts, never replies, zero contact.
