DISC 3 : sympathy for the demos
DVD : Haigh Hall

i put money on that being it, in which case its pretty boring. am i missing anything? is there any great sessions from the period that is LIKELY to be included?

I can see 'The Video: 96-98' being included on DVD as well.

I'd like to listen an early version of Lucky Man, and maybe there are some versions of "Jerusalem" with vocals.

Furthermore, "All the Ways Are Maybes", that one MUST be in the deluxe version of UH.

DISC 4: The Verve-less version where all non-RA parts are edited out?

According to Simon Jones, during that time they recorded a song called, "All Ways Are Maybes". Summers could heard it and he said that that song could have been a hit.

I imagine there are a couple more early demos ala This Could Be My Moment that didn't leak, or maybe some '98 rehearsals or something with a few more things that perhaps became solo songs. There are lots of good sessions from that period, Jools Holland of course and then also the infamous MTV session with the temper tantrum which people either think is brilliant or horrible.

It's such a best selling album with crossover potential I really hope they go a full 5-6 discs, give us all the demos and dub mixes and so forth, why not?

If we can get the stuff they recorded in 98 that would be great.

April 25, 1998 - Jazz Summers (Verve's manager) said that Verve have completed four new songs while taking their break from touring to return to the studio. This was reported by "Jed the Fish" on KROQ (Los Angeles radio statio).

Nick left the band in July of that year and in an interview with Sharma he said:

AS: Were there plans to record after Urban Hymns?

McCabe: It was going to happen, yeah. We had quite a lot of stuff in place already. We stuck a couple tracks in the blender and recycled a couple of others....there were some brilliant things emerging. Lucky Man we did like space rock - we took a section of the strings and sampled it and we just went out in the fuckin' stratosphere. It was like fuckin' ecstatic music, really good.

Until he finds an old cardboard box stuffed in a closet or attic somewhere, and inside has tapes waiting to be discovered and disturbed...

Apparently he has "All Ways Are Maybes" in his phone.

Not really too fussed about this unless there's a handful of songs we've never heard after Nick had rejoined.

That Sympathy For The Demos wasn't all that good and just proved how **** weak they were without Nick.

I'd only be interested in the full Haigh Hall release and if they have video of its entirety. Of course other live shows as well.

I don't think there is going to be a plethora of unreleased content but who knows...

I think RA will be involved with this one; possibly contribute to sleeve notes, maybe the odd interview etc.

Isn't there a studio version of C'mon People, played by the band (minus McCabe), knocking about?

I might be wrong, but didn't someone post a video of C'mon People on here a while back that sounded a bit different to the sympathy version?
