Well there's a bit of good news. Does that mean he gets his own board now?

This vote is for not doing yet another subforum.

Great news, I'll pay handsomely for some shimmery goodness from Nick.

Maybe do an edit of the sub forum title to Nick McCabe/Black Submarine.

This is one of the benefits of social media and these online music upload platforms, now Nick can release to a much wider audience rather than going through a physical release whih would cost him a lot more money I'd imagine. He can do things properly on his own with very little restriction.

Apologies for providing the hope that these are out, but Nick just posted 30 minutes of improvisation as a demo video for a new custom guitar. 10 minutes in and it's mindblowing living room noodling. Apparently he drops some Verve parts later on.

He looks really sad and tired in that video. I mean, the sound is great as always but he looks quite down. I hope he is ok.

He was probably just focusing on what he was doing. That's a lovely guitar.

My unrealistic plan for Nick McCabe:
He records his noodlings and compiles and uploads the best to Bandcamp every few weeks.

With all the excitement of someone waiting for a bus. I mean, where are the strippers and the class A's? Oh wait, he should have worn sun glasses indoors, to make rock n roll "dangerous".

Even when we talk about Nick you always have to attack Ashcroft. Jesus... you're obsessed with him.

He mentiones them here, amongst other things. Appears they need to be sequenced & mastered before he puts them out.
"I have several instrumental albums that just need sequencing and mastering and I’ll release on Bandcamp. Earlier this year I played on eight tracks of Callum Beattie’s debut album, due next year. FSOL/Amorphous Androgynous feature my guitar playing and a rake of tracks – watch this space. I’ve contributed considerable amounts of material to Emit Bloch’s various enterprises. Shadowparty’s record comes out soon featuring myself on a few tracks. Nihilists first single has gobs of my guitar on the A side and some more discreet stuff on the B. More Black Submarine eventually. Field Theory archives to go up at some point (Mig Schillace and myself’s improv work from pre Forth to present day). More from Natalie Kocab and Michaela Polokova I hear. More ploughing on in the labs on the vast bank of solostuff. More lectures, more tuition. And I’m for hire: guitar, electronics, mixing, mastering, producing."

Just an incredible YT video, thanks so much for sharing. I think I'm going to get in touch with Nick to see if he can lay down guitar on one of the new songs I'm writing.
