his voice sounded good.

at the end he claimed he's "smashing paradigms"... it's comments like that which cause him to be ridiculed, and deservedly so. He's either trolling or is deluded, in no way shape or form is he smashing any paradigms.

I watched this. First thing which stood out was that he didn't wear sunglasses. He seemed more normal.

He mentioned he was taking the 'show he did in Liverpool' to Glasgow etc. Not sure what this meant. He hasn't advertised the orchestra playing with him?

He was ok to be fair. I didn't appreciate the bit at the end where someone wrote in asking for a verve song and he said come to the gig, I'll play all the songs I wrote in that period. He seems totally intent on dismissing any memories of what was the defining part of his career. It's sad.

Right now, Ed Sheeran, the biggest and best songwriter the Uk has produced in the last 20 years, is touring the world promoting his album, playing daily radio shows and tv shows.

However, for Richard to come on a little known radio show, they had to 'get the lawyers involved' and then 'smash paradigms'.

Why can't he just be a normal guy? What ruined his mind?

Arrgh, fucking beat me to it!

The acoustic versions are definitely listenable if you overlook the lyrics. Still not something I'd actively seek out to listen to though. :/

In this format, Black Lines sounds quite a bit like TDDW to me.

The Verve legend told Radio X's Gordon Smart that his "candid" autobiography would act as a "deterrent"

Wasn't Nick threatening to release an "autobiography" to set the record straight on the Verve after what Richard said in the Noisey and Q magazine interviews last year?

Sounds like a pre-emptive strike from RPA.

Quote:
The These People singer added: "So I think can be tremendous- it's almost like a nuclear weapon. It's a deterrent. My book is my deterrent to anyone who wants to re-write my history or the way I saw it, you know what I'm saying?"
Talking about memoirs in general, the They Don't Own Me singer called them "embarrassing" on the whole.
He explained: "Being frank i'd say a lot of them can't truly go there, unless a lot of the main protagonists are either dead or, you know... a lot of it is a watered down version."

So is this memoir a real thing?

When you're smashing paradigms the "glory days" are just a paradigm to be smashed.
