'I like to play in opposites—and wearing a gas mask and this Swarovski-crystal-embedded jacket is that I want to take rock ’n’ roll to another level. I’ve also got some crazy leather jackets with mirrors and strange things on them—kind of like Scarface meets Alain Delon'

The transition to David Brent is now complete.

Man RPA interviews are always hard for me to read because there are always bits and pieces of what he says that I really appreciate and agree with. I see glimmers of a really awesome person.

Then, he follows it up with total ******** and/or slagging off the band (e.g. notice how he never said "we" when talking about any of the Verve songs). Fucking hell.

For how much he begs people to find him loathsome, he always has something interesting to say. I could hang out and talk with him all day, long as he doesn't play one of his dreadful records  .

He's name dropping the likes of Drake, Rihanna and Kanye because he's desperate for a collaboration with a relevant pop artist to boost his profile

"the united nations of sound" is definitely a band Brent would front, you could just imagine him coming on stage and announcing "we're UnOS and we unite nations with our sound, one love, yeh?"

Like most other things, he's **** at them.

Noel G my be a spent musical force but his interviews are usually great. The bloke clearly has a personality and a decent sense of humor.

You would like to think he would tell the interviewer he's had enough of talking about urban hymns etc, but he can't he's completely stuck in the past. you don't hear Weller going on about all mod cons and Town Called Malice/Going Underground all the time do you
