I don't follow Black Sub all that much.

What is their status? in between albums?

They're on extended shore leave. Seems they've been under a lot of pressure. I can't fathom why they haven't given their fans a ping just to let us know they haven't scuttled the ship. I'm sure they'll resurface soon. In the meantime you should take the plunge and check them out. Their music is, how can I describe it? Really deep.

Still working on a follow up, as time allows.
Nick has been sending Amelia tracks to work on for lyrics.
When is an album due? Who knows, but they are still working on album #2.

I'm not sure what you want.

They all have families and jobs and Black Sub is clearly a side project which they partake in when they have the time. Rossi is a career musician who has a pretty sweet setup playing big festivals, events and tours wth Coldplay, which he'll be getting paid well for, he isn't going to comprise those commitments for B-Sub.

"E'ya Davide, forget playing at the Super Bowl in a stadium in front of 100,000 people live and 10s of millions of people on TV. We've got you a gig with B-Sub at The Hare and Hounds in Bethnal Green, in front of 14 people and the landlord's dog, what d'ya say?"

B-Sub may very well release more material, maybe they won't, but it's going to be on their terms and when they have the time. And to be honest, it's not like there's a massive clamour for them to do so.

I'd understands your gripes if they were young, up and comers wanting to make a career out of the band, but that's not the case, and in terms of plugging themselves on social media, there's nothing to plug. On the other hand Nick and Si have Verve releases to plug, you can't blame them for concentrating on promoting those as the demand for those reissues far outweigh any demand for a Black Sub.

Don't you think it's bizarre that Davide Rossi doesn't even admit he's in the band ?

Not sure what you mean by he doesn't admit he's in the band. Has he been asked & denied it?

Have a look on his Facebook account and his website, you wouldn't know he is in the band.
Search for a while and you might see something.

thought you were exaggerating but on his website he lists New Shores as just another project that he's worked on. Black Sub are making a new album though. It ought to be out this year. I just wish they'd get a label and then tour instead of putting out the album themselves and having nobody notice it, then have it disappear.

In a band with Nick McCabe, absolutely.
