This from Nick on his FB page:

This is from the forthcoming A Storm in Heaven box set. Not sure how this got out and about, possibly official?
Check out baby Verve (looking incredibly young and daft) at Sawmills Studio, Cornwall ...1992? Making me... 21? Si Jones.... 19?

The video was put up on the TheVerveVEVO page so its official:

And then he brings back the band for another new song that sounds more Andrew Lloyd Webber than titan of Britpop. It makes Ashcroft's farewell promise to return to our shores "soon" feel more like a threat than something to look forward to

I can see why they ditched South Pacific. Took all the dynamic from the live version and made it a bit aimless.

The footage is ok, it's the Verve in the studio room, and also playing pool.

Something tells me RPA is gonna see this clip, cry and call up the other guys to do another UH reunion tour. ;)

South Pacific sounds fantastic in this clip.

This is gorgeous! It's both familiar and not. I can see how it sort of missed the mark as a studio realization of the live song, but I've always had a soft spot for their mellower, laid back jams from that era.

They all look impossibly young. Hard to believe they were making music as accomplished as ASIH at this time.

You should at least watch it with the sound off, as been said they look and act so very young! The last shot slowly panning across Nick's rig is priceless!

Again, very similar to what they did with Anyway Anyway.

If anything I imagine that footage would seal Ashcrofts anti Verve reunion sentiment forever.

The song is great. I didn't like the live version but love this one.

It's very, very good, but still not at all on the level of the live version which is just untouchable. I feel similarly about One Way to Go, that song is good in the studio version but the Voyager 1 cut is on another plane -- it seems like it was made to be played live.

They're so different from each other that it's hard to compare them. I'm happy that they took a completely different approach in the studio because it means that we basically have a new Verve song.

Good track, reminds me of Monte Carlo had it been recorded with McCabe. Much better than the live version IMHO as grateful as I am to now have both.

The band just sounds so good playing together.

Exaaaactly what I was thinking! The chorus is just beautiful, but it really is like a different song. This is all a positive in my mind.

I never realized how young they were when they started. Three of them had just turned 24 when they broke up the first time, and Si was still 23. They were 22-23 when they did ANS! Crazy!

Tbf you can say that for nearly all of those Camden performances, that they were distinctly different from what showed up on the album, especially The Sun The Sea.

Late again!

I'm hooked to this song since i saw the video. It's, indeed, beautiful and puts me in a (almost) trancelike!
More great stuff that came from incredibly young guys jamming. Love it.
